Creative Mornings brings you Lauren Woolf: To Creativity! And Beyond!
April 21, 8:30am - 10:00am SAST. Hosted at Community Centre
Lauren started her marketing career at the Spur Group in Cape Town before grabbing an opportunity to work on the Volkswagen brand at Ogilvy & Mather Rightford Searle-Tripp and Makin CT. After 5 years on the VW as well as other key accounts, and a subsequent appointment to the Board of the company, Lauren followed her heart and moved to Lausanne, Switzerland. There, she worked for British American Tobacco as Brand Manager on Lucky Strike for Switzerland.
In 2003, Lauren started her own marketing communications services company, Antipod, offering communication services to clients such as Bulgari, and Diagio. After selling Antipod - which is still operating - and moving back to SA, Lauren re-joined Ogilvy & Mather in Johannesburg as Business Director and subsequently Client Service Director and Board member.
With a passion for creativity from artist to agency, Lauren is an active member of the local and global creative community. She is a patron, mentor and Board member of the Artists Proof Studio and a mentor for Business Arts South Africa. She is the co-founder of the Princess Connection, an organisation that annually collects and donates previously loved formalwear through a pop-up-shop model for disadvantaged girls to shop in with dignity.
Lauren is married to Gary, a property developer in Johannesburg and they have two sons, Max (12) and Jake (10).
